Chimpanzee & Environment Development Program (CEDP)
Hoima, Kikuube & Masindi Districts
An integrated conservation program combining habitat restoration, community education, and sustainable livelihood development. The CEDP model brings together local government, communities, and conservation partners to protect the fragmented forest corridors that wild chimpanzees depend on.
Community Conservation Action Program
Albertine Rift Region
Empowering local communities to become the primary guardians of their environment through training, resource provision, and establishing conservation governance structures at the village level.
Habitat Connectivity Initiative
Northern Albertine Rift
A focused tree-planting initiative to reconnect fragmented chimpanzee habitats. By restoring degraded forest corridors with indigenous tree species, we enable chimpanzee populations to move freely and maintain genetic diversity.
