About Chimpanzee Trust

Promoting the understanding, appreciation, and protection of chimpanzees since 1998

Our Foundation

Saving Uganda's Chimpanzees

The Chimpanzee Sanctuary & Wildlife Conservation Trust (Chimpanzee Trust) was established in 1998 to promote the conservation of chimpanzees and their natural habitats across Uganda.

We combine world-class sanctuary care at Ngamba Island with wild corridor protection, community education, and human-wildlife conflict mitigation across the Albertine Rift ecosystem.

Our Mission

To promote the understanding, appreciation, and protection of chimpanzees and their habitats in Uganda.

Our Vision

A world where chimpanzees thrive in their natural habitats and protected sanctuary havens for generations to come.
