Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary serves as a globally recognized hub for non-invasive behavioral studies. The unique semi-natural environment of our island forest allows researchers to observe primate social dynamics, tool-use, conflict resolution, and cognition exactly as they occur in complex societies.

Strictly Non-Invasive

We strictly enforce a non-invasive protocol. All research is purely observational. The psychological and physical welfare of the 53 rescued chimpanzees is paramount — studies never create stress or disrupt daily routines.
